What is recorded here
Situated in the N quadrant of the inner enclosure at Cahermore (CL005-094002-). A number of grass-covered stones define a possible hut site (3m NE-SW; 2m NW-SE). All of the stones are lying horizontally except for one in the N (H 0.8m; Wth 0.3-0.4m) which is vertical. This was depicted on a plan by Westropp in 1901 (Westropp 1901, 283). During excavation of the entranceway of the cashel this area was cleared of vegetation. A detailed survey found no clear indications of a hut site. (Fitzpatrick 2001, 51-2)
