What is recorded here

Situated c. 50m NE of a large possible motte (WI013-026----). The present house, completed in 1784 by Thomas Cooley for Robert Cuningham, stands on the site of a large Mansion House' built by the Kennedys and destroyed during the Williamite War. There is no visible trace of the earlier building (Bence-Jones 1978, 215). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
