House

House, 17th century

What is recorded here

In describing the glebeland of the parish of Drangan, the Civil Survey (1654-6) mentions 'one thatcht house with a garden at Drangan both belonging to the sd Imppriacon' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 160), implying that this house belonged to the church and therefore is likely to be close to the medieval church (TS063-016001-) which is at the E end of the village in Knockroe townland. The house is unlocated within the townland of Knockroe. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
