The Civil Survey (1654-6) refers to 'a thatcht house with a chimney' in the townland of 'Killcomanmore' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'The sd Lord Baron of Cahyr Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol.1, 354). This house is unlocated within the townlands of Kilcommon More (North) and Kilcommon More (South).
