The Civil Survey (1654-6) refers to 'a grist mill, and a tucking Mill, and hath the accomodation of the River Shewer runinge by it' in 'Lissevea & Carrigeene' which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of 'The sd Thomas Lord Baron of Cahyr Irish Papist' (Siminton 1931, vol. 1, 352).
