A chimney house at 'Courteous wood' is described in the Down Survey terrier (1655-6) as owned by Roger McGragh, which is confirmed in the Civil Survey (1654-6) (Simington 1942, 94), and it is marked as a large mansion with three chimneys on the Down Survey map. It remains unlocated.
