What is recorded here
A large house, with pitched roof and central chimney, is depicted on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Shillelogher, County Kilkenny (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin) in the SE portion of Castle Eve townland. No other building is depicted in this townland, so the house could be indicating the fortified house (KK027-024001-) at Castle Eve which is roughly in this location. If not the house is unlocated within the townland.
