Detached five-bay single-storey vernacular house, incorporating two-bay outbuilding at west end, built c.1860, with single-storey extension to rear. Pitched straw-thatched roof with mesh over, iron pegs to eaves, rendered copings, and smooth-rendered chimneystacks. Roughcast-rendered walls with smooth plinth course. Square-headed openings throughout with painted stone sills and replacement uPVC windows and doors. Gardens to site, with barn to south.

This attractive thatched house incorporates a former outbuilding to produce a larger dwelling. It retains many original features, including its thatched roof, and evidence for the roped thatching technique in the form of iron pegs. The squat nature of the building is typical of vernacular houses, as are the simply detailed openings, wall treatments and low chimneystacks.
