In pasture, on the former deer park on the demesne of Cahir Guillamore House (LI031-041019-)and 40m W of the avenue to Cahir Guillamore. Ringfort (LI031-041017-) lies to immediate W, castle site (LI031-041015-) 100m to NE and deserted medieval settlement (LI031-041009-) 250m to N. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a possible medieval house by Ó Ríordáin and Hunt (1942, 43-44) where it is described as: ‘We suspect but are not so sure of, the existence of houses in other parts of the site, for instance east of B (LI031-041017-) and on the other side of the avenue east of 6 (LI031-041011-). The houses show as rectangular structures with low walls, the facing stones appearing through the turf in places. Generally the walls and the collapsed material from them appear as grass-covered banks’ (ibid. 43-44). Possible remains visible on OSi orthoimage taken between 2005-12 and on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 20/09/2020 where curvilinear bank is visible to SW of ringfort (LI031-041017-).
