What is recorded here

Detached four-bay single-storey thatched house, built c. 1800, having L-plan extension to rear (north) elevation. Hipped and pitched thatched roof with rendered chimneystack. Battered and buttressed roughcast rendered walls with recent date plaque. Square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and square-headed opening with timber battened half-door.
Small irregularly spaced windows, sheltered site and southern aspect typical of vernacular tradition. Thick walls and small openings may indicate an early date. Retains appropriate timber sash windows and half door. Adds architectural interest to road.
