House

On the N-facing slope of Slievebawn in the Blackstairs Mountain range, in rough upland pasture. A roughly square structure, probably a house, identified by Séamus Ó Murchú and visible on Bing satellite imagery (Ó Murchú 2016). This is not depicted on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map or on subsequent editions, suggesting it pre-dates 1840. Only the grassed-over footings of this sod-built structure survive, with an N-facing entrance defined by stone jambs on either side (ibid.). The ruins of another upland house (CW020-033----) are located c. 100m to the N.
