KE053-006002- was shown on the 1st edition of the OS map as a single ring of hachures and was named 'Fort' on the Fair Plan. There are possible traces of a rectangular house site amongst the overgrown stone debris scattered around the site. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 513. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
