House

Within a ringfort (GA098-098----). The foundations of two definite and one possible house are visible as follows: (a: GA098-098002-) abutting the face of ringfort bank at SE, it comprises a subrectangular area (N-S; L 7.2m, Wth 4.2m) defined along S, W and N sides by large moss-covered limestone blocks; (b: GA098-098003-) abutting the ringfort bank at S, is a poorly preserved and overgrown area (WNW-ESE; L 4.2m, Wth 3.8m); irregular in plan, defined by small limestone blocks; (c: GA098-098004-) to SE of centre, there are two separate but contiguous lengths of overgrown wall forming an L-shape on plan, the long axis (L 9.8m) runs NNE-SSW, and the shorter axis (L 5.6m) extends off SE end and runs E-W. Composed of small stones, they could represent the remains of a house, but might also be the remains of an internal division within the ringfort.
