Detached four-bay single-storey house, built c. 1820, with single-bay pitched-roofed entrance porch to front (south) elevation, and two-bay single-storey extension to east gable. Now disused. Pitched slate and corrugated-iron roofs with rendered and red brick chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with render surrounds, concrete sills and one-over-one and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Timber battened double-leaf door to east side of porch. Three-bay and single-bay single-storey outbuildings to east side of yard and five-bay single-storey outbuilding to south side of yard, all with pitched corrugated-iron roofs, rubble stone walls, and square-headed openings with timber fittings.

Utilising traditional local materials and construction methods, a group of vernacular structures characteristic of a rural building tradition in Ireland. The long low profile is typical of many modest vernacular buildings. Small irregularly spaced windows, a sheltered site and outbuildings forming a yard to the front are further evidence of vernacular origins. The orientation, facing south, takes advantage of the natural heat of the sun’s path.
