Detached three-bay single-storey house, built c. 1860, having flat-roofed single-bay porch to front (south) elevation. Pitched corrugated-iron roof with rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed opening with timber panelled door and sidelight to porch, flanked by decorative dashed render panels. Single-storey outbuilding to north of yard having pitched corrugated-iron roof with rendered walls and square-headed openings. Single-storey outbuilding to east of yard having single-pitched corrugated-iron roof with rendered walls and square-headed door opening. Rendered piers and curved walls to site entrance.

Orientating a building to capitalise on solar heat rather than to address the road is typical of the vernacular Irish tradition. The windowless rear elevation prevents heat loss to the north. Decorative panels flanking entrance enliven an otherwise unadorned façade. Retains its timber sash windows and corrugated-iron roof, a vernacular material which adds texture and colour to the building.
