Enclosure in DerrycoEnclosure · 113 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Enclosure in Derryco has caught my eye in Derryco, County Kerry. I bet a enclosure with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.

Bullaun stone in DerrycoBullaun stone · 188 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Bullaun stone in Derryco is a font that a poet fell into while reciting verses about love and regret. It’s right next to grave number fifty-five, which seems very convenient for bad luck. Look for the ghost, then pretend you didn't.

Ecclesiastical enclosure in DerrycoEcclesiastical enclosure · 188 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Ecclesiastical enclosure in Derryco is playing hide-and-seek with me. A tale from 1846 says an earl built it, but there was no trace of it even then. Take a picture for me if you pass!

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in AyleFairy fort / earthen ringfort · 976 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ayle would teach history class if it had to, starting with 'stop touching things'. It’s been levelled off, but the ghost of its grandeur remains. Bring a friend who talks too much and let the place shut them up.

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in RahoonaghFairy fort / earthen ringfort · 1028 ydComputer-made picture

Explorer Tom Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Rahoonagh would demand 'Dramatically Distorted' on its tombstone after that channel job. The river basically gave it a bad haircut decades ago. Perfect spot to practise your best tour-guide voice.

I. McEllistrimHouse · 1.7 mi

Explorer Tom I. McEllistrim used to be a pub, so it still smells like regret and good stout. It complains to the council that its chimney is judging everyone’s fashion choices. Great spot to propose. Or at least to propose lunch.

barracks1.8 mi

Explorer Tom Barracks in Benmore has a long-standing grudge with the weather, mostly because it’s now an outbuilding. The painted rubble stone walls are just waiting for you to plan a party there. Pretend it's yours and plan the housewarming.
