Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800. Pitched thatched roof with rendered chimneystack. Whitewashed walls. Square-headed window openings having painted stone sills with replacement timber windows. Square-headed door opening having replacement timber battened door. Outbuilding to west of house having pitched corrugated-iron roof with whitewashed walls and timber battened doors. Smooth rendered boundary wall to site boundary.

The small irregularly spaced openings, low chimneystack and thatched roof are all typical features of Irish vernacular architecture. Once common throughout the countryside and small villages, thatched buildings have become increasingly rare, and the survival of this example is notable. The house retains its original form and structure and is enhanced and contextualised by the outbuilding to the front, another common feature of the vernacular tradition.
