Linked to Saint Muireagáin, this holy well is associated with healing traditions, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin. Local folklore suggests that the well's waters were once used in seasonal rituals and that the surrounding ringfort (Ráth Muireagáin) may have been a site of early Christian worship.
