Water still moves beneath the well house north-west of the church in Lorum, County Carlow. Local tradition names St Lazernian as its patron, while the living well continues the old ritual in a smaller, hidden form.

The holy well in Lorum is associated with Saint Luthaithe, a 7th-century Irish saint known for his ascetic practices and healing miracles. Locally, the well was traditionally visited for the cure of skin ailments and as a site for making votive offerings.
