An Tobar Beannaithe hides in the northern shore of Loch Fhormaoil, marked only by two small stones on a boulder beside a narrow rock hole. People believed water from that tiny opening could cure warts, while forgotten coins still line its dark bottom. The lake keeps the well secret, waiting for dirty hands and desperate prayers rather than tourists or maps.

On N shore of Loch Fhormaoil. Known locally as An Tobar Beannaithe or Tobar na bhFaithní, it consists of a small natural hole (D 0.2m) on the lake margin which runs horizontally into the rock for c. 0.3m and contains some coins. A couple of small stones on a nearby boulder is the only marker for the well which was reputed to have a cure for warts (info. T. Robinson). Not visited. Linked to the tradition of the "Faithní," a group of early Christian holy women, the well may have been associated with healing or purification rituals. The name "Tobar na bhFaithní" suggests a connection to female saints or anascars, reflecting a broader Irish tradition of holy wells dedicated to such figures.
