The Ordnance Survey Letters refer to a well called 'Michael's Well' in the SE part of Charlestown graveyard (LH014-018003-). (CLAJ 1923, 202)

Linked to St Michael, the well was likely a site of Christian pilgrimage and healing, as many wells dedicated to the archangel were believed to have curative properties, particularly for respiratory ailments. The location within a graveyard suggests it may have also been used in funerary or protective rituals.
