Holy well in Ballyteigelea (idrone East By.)

Holy well

What is recorded here

Ballyteigelea is a small village in east Carlow, not a border town, and the claim about a cross-county lane invents a region the facts do not support.
The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Known locally as 'Lady's Well'. Mass rock beside it.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
