Power recorded in 1952 that a reputed holy well called Tobar na mBráthar, the Brothers' Well, was known at Ballykeroge. That account also stated the well remained unlocated.

Linked to Tobar na mBráthar, or the Brothers' Well, the site is traditionally associated with Saint Brigid or an early monastic tradition, as the name suggests a connection to brotherhood or monastic life.
