What is recorded here

St Patricks Well in Athgarrett, County Kildare, is a holy well known through local information rather than official mapping. The hidden water may have sustained prayers, healing or quiet rituals for generations before written attention reached it. Its absence from formal records does not diminish the well, but it does preserve the mystery of how often the sacred still flows beneath forgotten names.
Although not recorded as such on the OS mapping, according to local information, this is a holy well known as 'St Patricks Well'. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 24 July 2012
Linked to St Patrick, the well is associated with traditional Celtic Christian pilgrimage and healing practices. Local folklore may connect it to the saint's legendary travels and miracles in Ireland.
