What is recorded here

According to O’Hare (1996, 64), some stones near Toberflyn holy well [KE022-023----] were ‘said to be the ruins of St. Flann's hermitage'. Compiled by: Matt Kelleher Date of upload: 28 February 2014
The hermitage is associated with St. Flann, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and reflects a tradition of solitary religious retreats linked to holy wells in the region. Such sites were often places of prayer and pilgrimage, with local folklore attributing healing properties to nearby wells like Toberflyn.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
