King Henry I of England, also known as Henry Beauclerc, reigned from 1100 to 1135 and is remembered for his administrative reforms and efforts to stabilize the Norman dynasty. He founded Reading Abbey in 1121 as a royal mausoleum and was buried there upon his death in 1135.
