Excavated (99E0622) as part of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment at Chainage 7330. Soil-stripping uncovered a subrectangular, clay-lined pit (dims. 1.92m N-S; 1.1m E-W; D 0.3m) containing charcoal covered by stones. (Elder 2002; Elder and Tierney 2002, 5-7)
