Excavated (98E0575) as Area 30 of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment. A spread of burnt mound material (dims. 11.5m N-S; 8m E-W) overlay two troughs and a hearth. The circular trough (diam. 1.4m; D 0.45m) was primary and produced a C 14 determination of 2210-2010 cal. BC. The hearth (dims. 1.1m x 0.8m; T 0.3m) was just to its E. The second rectangular trough (dims. 2.45m x 1.68m; D 0.54m) was re-cut into a larger trough (dims. 4.4m E-W; 1.6m N-S; D 0.64m). Charcoal from this trough produced a C14 determination of 1390-820 cal. BC. The sherds of a vase urn (WA015-107001-) were found c. 30m to the W. (Tierney and Logan 2008)
