On low-lying flat ground at the N side of a laneway in mixed woodland. A headsotne (dims 1.84m x 0.68m; T 0.15m) with an illegible inscription in false relief and the date 1748 lies 3m E of the portal tomb (RO051-043001-). It is reputedly made from the missing portal stone of the tomb. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 39)
