Explorer Tom Mollin Moor in Dumfries and Galloway is a prehistoric cairnfield where the fairies are currently having a massive dispute over who gets to park their tiny, invisible carriages. They’re not happy about the new traffic rules, and I think one of them bit my ankle last Tuesday just for looking at it wrong. It’s definitely not as peaceful as it looks from the outside.
Explorer Tom Boreland is where a poet once fell in a ditch and wrote a masterpiece about mud. It stands there with a smug look, knowing it inspired at least one bad song. The earthworks are basically its bodyguard, keeping things looking very official. Bring a friend who talks too much and let the place shut them up.
Explorer Tom Glenae Tower was built by someone who was clearly thinking about something else while they laid the foundations. The builder probably muttered 'that'll do' and went home for lunch. Bring the dog, it'll have opinions.
