Hachured is the northernmost of three ringforts aligned northwest to southeast across Limerick grassland, its earth bank still marking a boundary that human hands have forgotten but the land has not. The other two forts sit sixty-three and one hundred ninety metres to the southeast, spacing like footsteps rather than measurement. Whatever lived inside the circle has stopped answering, yet the shape remains clear enough to walk around and misjudge.

In grassland, in SW corner of field with post-1700 field boundaries intersecting the monument at SW, SE and S. This is the most northerly of three ringforts (LI006-040-/042----) forming a line running NW-SE for a distance of c. 200m. The two ringforts (LI006-040-/042----) lie 63m and 190m to SE respectively. Monument indicated as a sub-circular shaped area defined by a bank on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. Shown on the 1897 OS 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped area (approx. int. diam. 28m N-S, 24m E-W; ext. diam. 42m) enclosed by a bank from NE through S to W and by a scarp from NW to NE. Monument visible today on Digital Globe imagery taken 2011-13 with enclosing tree-covered bank with a gap at NNW. Traces of outer ditch visible from S through to NW on Google earth orthophoto taken 20/11/2010 may be associated with post-1700 drainage.
