Gateway, c.1750, comprising pair of sandstone ashlar elongated polygonal piers with gabled capping, sandstone ashlar flanking screen walls with lancet recessed niches having hood mouldings over on portrait stops, battlemented parapets on machicolations, and sandstone ashlar elongated polygonal terminating piers with gabled capping. Set back from road at entrance to grounds of Gurteen Le Poer with gravel forecourt.
An elegant gateway incorporating fine decorative elements, the construction and fine detailing of which attests to high quality stone masonry and craftsmanship. The gateway forms an imposing feature in the landscape.
