What is recorded here
Glenmore East holds a hidden graveyard where a late-medieval church still stands beside buried people. The grass hides both because no marker breaks the surface to tell their names. What is forgotten there is not empty, since the church and graves wait beneath the pasture.
In level pasture. Trapazoidal area (N side 68m; S side 68m; E side 52m; W side 70m) defined by a scarped edge (ext. H 0.45m) with external fosse (Base Wth. 1m; D 0.35m). Remains of late-medieval parish church of Strand (LI044-036001---) in NW quadrant. Interior level and under grass. Though no evident graves or gravemarkers site presumably remains of graveyard enclosing church.
