Graveyard in Derrymaclaughna

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Derrymaclaughna holds a graveyard where the dead have watched the Galway fields for generations. The living may have brought love, fear or ordinary grief to that soil, yet the names and dates have vanished from modern memory. What remains is a quiet invitation to imagine the hands that dug each grave and the footsteps that left them behind.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
