Booleenshare holds a lost graveyard beside its church, marked only by mounds and broken slabs that once formed cist graves. The field club saw the shapes but never wrote down where they lay, surrendering the exact spot to forgetting. What burials rested beneath those stones, and whose hands first stacked the earth, has vanished with the place itself.

The Minute Book of the Co. Kerry Field Club (Vol. 2, 793-4) records 'several mounds that look like grave sites and also some standing slabs that looked like cist graves disturbed and uncovered' in association with a church site (KE014-102----) in Booleenshare townland. A Neolithic or early Bronze Age burial site, possibly containing cist graves and tumuli; its significance lies in the rare combination of mound and standing slab features indicative of early funerary practices in the region.
