Graveyard in Ash Big, Carrickmullan, County Louth, holds bones unearthed in the field locally known as Shankill. The adjacent field is reputed to mark a lost church, though its precise location has never been fixed. What is clear is that death and worship once shaped this ground before memory faded.

In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Bones unearthed in field locally known as 'Shankill'. Adjacent field in Ash Big townland reputed to be the site of a church (LH006-113002-). The precise location is not known.
