What is recorded here

Inis Oírr is a small island in County Galway where a cashel and leacht still stand beside possible graves. Slabs protrude above the sod in the southeast quadrant, marking burials or at least inviting that belief. The island has no modern monument, no visitor centre, no warning label. It keeps its dead under grass and stone, waiting for someone to notice the shape of what is missing.
