Graveslab in Grove (shillelogher By.) stands beside the medieval church doorway in County Kilkenny, wearing a raised cross but refusing to name the dead. Its smooth, coffin-shaped stone likely marks a late 13th or early 14th-century burial, preserving a life now lost beneath silence. The absence of inscription does not empty the place; it hands the memory back to the living, inviting them to complete what the stone withholds.

Associated with the medieval church (KK023-030001-) in Grove. Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 385) refers to, ‘a coffin-shaped slab, with a very beautiful raised cross, but bearing no inscription’, beside the doorway externally.
