Graveslab in Cashel

Lying in the gravel kerb immediately S of the S angle of St. John's C of I Cathedral which is on the site of a medieval church (TS061-025013-) and within its graveyard (TS061-025035-). A tapering recumbent limestone slab (L 1.96m; Wth 0.5m) with chamfered sides. It is decorated with a seven armed with fleur-de-lys terminals. A plain horizontal bar crosses the shaft under the cross head and above the curving pillar cross base. There is a raised border around the perimeter of the slab, however, no inscription or date is visible. The sinister edge appears to be missing as there is no chamfer on this edge and two arm terminals are also missing on this side (Maher 1997, 69).
