Graveslab in Aghaboe

A horizontal grave slab of Dorothy Hedges who lived in Derrin Castle with a date of 1675 lay at the east end of church (LA022-019002-). (Carrigan 1905, vol. 2, 46). No visible surface remains. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
