What is recorded here
Graves is a wedge tomb in County Cork, Ireland. It contains two chambers set four metres apart inside a narrow defile near the Cummer River headwaters. Each chamber holds a short stone gallery, one and a half metres long, with side stones, a back stone and a roof slab above. The compact shape suggests people built a narrow passage for burial rather than a broad hall, leaving a small dark space where the dead may have rested beneath the hill.
