Grave Yd is an irregular stone-walled graveyard on the west side of a Cork road where headstones from 1796 still emerge through grass and moss. In its north-west corner lie the buried foundations of the ancient parish church of Templenacarriga, their missing south wall and overgrown interior suggesting a building that gave up its stones rather than disappeared whole. The place remains in occasional use, a living edge of memory where old faith, forgotten hands and present grief still share the same dark soil.

On W side of road; irregularly-shaped graveyard enclosed by stone wall; in occassional use. Partially overgrown with headstones dating from 1796 (Coleman 1910-12d). In NW corner remains of ancient parish church (CO065-020002-) of Templenacarriga (c. 13m E-W; c. 8m N-S) now reduced to overgrown line of foundations of N, E and W walls; S wall entirely removed; interior densely overgrown. No trace of C of I church built here in 1846 (Brady 1863, vol. 2, 394); this was dismantled c. 1905; Coleman (ibid.) noted 'pieces of cutstone lying about inside the entrance' which came from this church.
