Situated on top of hillock with good views of the surrounding countryside. Poorly preserved ruins of Taghboyne church (WM025-078001-) stands in NW quadrant of triangular-shaped graveyard (approx. int. dims. 44m NW-SE x 41m NE-SW) both of which are enclosed by a large ecclesiastical enclosure (WM025-078002-). The N wall of the church no longer survives but may have been incorporated into the N boundary wall of the graveyard. The triangular-shaped graveyard is enclosed by a stone wall of post-1700 date with entrance gate and stone stile at W. The graveyard contains 18th and 19th century memorials mainly concentrated to the S of the church ruins.
