What is recorded here
Grave Yd. is a rectangular graveyard in County Limerick, Ireland, measuring about 26m N-S x 45m E-W and enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with an eastern gate. The medieval church ruins of Annagh stand in its western quadrant, suggesting the burials and building grew together rather than one being added later. People may have walked past broken church walls for generations before the wall closed the area, turning a ruined holy place into a bounded graveyard where the dead remained central to local life.
The medieval church ruins (LI006-015001-) of Annagh stands in W quadrant of graveyard which consists of a rectangular-shaped area (approx. dims. 26m N-S x 45m E-W) enclosed by post-1700 stone wall with entrance gate at E.
