What is recorded here

Located on a level landscape with slightly lower ground just to the W, and the N bastion of the fort (ME046-010----) is c. 30m to the SSE. The graveyard is marked only on the 1910 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, although it is indicated by a curving field bank SW-NW on the 1836 ed. The chapel (ME046-009----) is within a D-shaped graveyard (dims c. 35m E-W; c. 30m N-S) with the straight side (L 26m) at N. It is defined by a masonry wall, and has a few 19th century headstones, one commemorating Robert Mahon with the date 1867. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revised upload: 16 August, 2016
