Grave Yard

In a sheltered hollow overlooked by higher ground on all sides. Indicated as an irregular area (c. 38m N-S; c. 20m E-W) and named ‘Grave Yard’ on the 1842 OS 6-inch map with a church (CL004-057001-) within and named ‘Grave Yard (Disused)’ on the 1915 ed. No evidence of the graveyard or the boundary indicated on the OS maps was noted on field inspection in 1998. Described by Westropp (1900, 135) as a poorly preserved church ‘in a graveyard’.
