What is recorded here

Grave Yard in County Cork is a small rectangular graveyard holding the ruin of Kilnaglory parish church at its centre. The stone wall encloses thirty-five metres of earth where the oldest visible headstone marks 1760, proving that people have buried their dead beneath this sky for generations. The curved corners soften the rectangle, suggesting craftsmanship rather than haste, while the church ruin stands as a silent witness to every funeral procession that crossed its threshold.

On N side of road; small rectangular graveyard (35m E-W; 19m N-S; see plan,Henchion 1969b, 186) enclosed by stone wall with vertical coping; NE, NWand SE corners curved. At centre, ruin of Kilnaglory parish church (CO073-060002-). In occasional use; Henchion (ibid.) records memorial inscriptions, earliest inscribed headstone noted dated 1760 (ibid.; Brunicardi 1913, 49).
