Situated at the N end of Baltinglass Town, 100m E of the River Slaney. The graveyard (c. 85m E-W; c. 42m N-S) of the Cistercian Abbey at Baltinglass (WI027-024001-). Fitzgerald (1906-8, 411) describes the graveyard as a ‘burial ground [that] contains no slabs or tombs of any antiquity.
