Seven graves stand together in County Galway, belonging to daughters whose names vanished but whose connection remained strong enough to preserve. The state now guards the site as National Monument 41, recognizing that seven related deaths marked the land more deeply than any single burial would have. Perhaps they were sisters, perhaps daughters of one household, but either way the graveyard keeps a chamber of young loss instead of one.
