What is recorded here

Gateway, c.1895, comprising pair of decorative cast-iron open work piers with cast-iron stepped capping supporting lamp holders, cast-iron double gates having finials, and sections of cast-iron flanking railings on unpainted rendered plinth having spear-head finials. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Grace Dieu.
An attractive gateway of considerable artistic design merit, incorporating early-surviving mass-produced cast-iron ware throughout. The gateway forms an important element of the Grace Dieu estate, and contributes to the visual appeal of the area.
